"At War: Bigger's Id, Ego, and Superego Compete"

He was a boy and she was an old woman. He was the hired and she was the hirer. And there was a certain distance to be kept between them" (p. 121). In this quote Bigger ID want to come out because he can do stupid things like act different shaking while talking act with brutality like a dog stars barking when its afraid of something but his EGO isnt letting it out his Ego is keeping him safe from being suspected about something because he is talking with security. His Superego does not involves here because his is conscious of what he did.

"But of the whole business there was one angle that bothered him; he should have gotten more money out of it; he should have planned it. He had acted too hastily and accidentally. Next time things would be much different; he would plan and arrange so that he would have money enough to keep him a long time" (p. 123). In this case Biggers superego acted at the beginig of the murder because he acted like a dead man because cutting someones head is sick and hard to believe. Also Biggers ID had a place in the murder becuase he acted like an animal who eat his dam with fury. before all that his EGO acted because he actualy thoutht of what next hi would do but after that his ID and Superego takes control over him. Right now he is thinking with his EGO because he is thinking of how he could do better next time he does that thing of killing.

reactions when I read Bigger killing Mary.

The first part when Bigger killed Mary I got mad because just for his own good to keep his job he had to kill Mary that is unfair and not right. I know that it is his firs job and that it is a big deal for his family but that is not an excuse to kill somebody, he can get another job later. killing someone only to keep his job that does not make sense to me. After kissing her and had a chance to touch her breasts also her entire body and steel he killed her. I would never do that to a girl and more after the chance that Bigger had with her. But in the other hand he was scared and I agree with him in that point, being scared can make somebody lost their mind and do horrible things.
